What is Peppermint Leaf?

Peppermint has been used for thousand of years of its pleasant, minty taste and health benefits. Peppermint can consist of fresh or dry leaves for use in food or tea. It is also the most widely single ingredients herbal tea. Peppermint is rich in several bioactive compounds including rosmarinic acid and flavonoids, primarily eriocitrin, luteolin and hesperidin. It has health benefits in managing gastrointestinal health, sinus and cold symptoms.
