Dandelion is an herb that uses widely around the communities. Several parts of the dandelion can be used including the flower, leave and roots. It is also an herb rich in phytochemicals including sesquiterpene lactones, taraxacin and taraxasterol. Dandelion is also rich in vitamins and minerals which are vitamin A, C, K, calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium. It is used as a diuretic and tonic.
