It is also an herb rich in phytochemicals including sesquiterpene lactones, taraxacin and taraxasterol. Dandelion is also rich in vitamins and minerals which are vitamin A, C, K, calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium. It is used as a diuretic and tonic.
